I see “System Memory” in the device list. I have 4GB installed on a 32-bit system, so I was trying to access the hidden memory that 32-bit does not see for eBoostr to use. I have C:\ and System Reserved as cache file location. I picked system reserve as the cache location. When I apply the settings and press OK, it goes to the main screen and asks me to build the cache file, I press Yes and nothing happens. System status is: no cache drives.

What is displayed in the eBoostr Control Panel? Any devices in the list? What is the system status?

I tried setting up the unmapped memory space, but when I apply it and then press okay, it asks to build the cache file, but nothing happens!

I saw nothing on the the BIOS. Maybe I did it wrong. I rebooted the computer, and hit F2 to open setup. If that is not correct way to check, please let me know.

Mikei said, see above, that the chipset had to be higher than 945; this particular computer has chipset 925x, so I assumed that the unmanaged memory feature of eBoostr won’t work on this particular computer.

Can you please check you BIOS / Advanced settings for anything looking like “Memory Remap Feature”?

What chipset your computer has? Looks like it is 925?

To be able to use unmanaged RAM hardware should support memory relocation. Chipset should be higher than 945.

I Enabled PAE. Same thing happened when clicking to enable extended memory but this time the error code is 0×400.

0×100 means you have PAE disabled. Please check the following forum thread:

I installed 4.0.0.538 on my Dell Precision 370 with 4GB RAM running Windows XP Pro SP3. Got the following error message when attempting to use unmanaged memory: “Unmanaged RAM was not detected on this computer. Please check the help file for the following reason code: 0×100″

After that, the box for clicking on unmanged memory wss greyed out.
