Ram shown twice

By sailorsonic | December 3rd, 2008 | 7:15 pm

Dell Dimension l566cx
XP Pro SP3
324 mb ram
1 gb usb pen

For some reason it shows my ram twice as drive c: and d:

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the application to make sure it was not a corrupted install.

This is added functionality (may be confusing).

Actually, there is only one RAM (and can be created only one RAM device), but RAM data file is stored on system disk.

Previous versions allow to place this file only on system partition.

There was request to be able to specify different partition for RAM (in any case it should be on system physical disk).

So now it possible to select different partitions for storing RAM data. So you see two (or more) ram devices available for selecting. May be it will be better to have one device and have setting with place to store data, instead of multiple RAM devices in list.

i also was going to comment on the multiple ram item entries with embedded drive letters, but the explanation makes that clear now. i think it would be clearer that if you are adding the ram device, you have only 1 ram item and you select it, along with a (dropdown list?)entry box for the drive you want the data file on that shows after you select ram & before you OK it…
