The current configuration appears to work with my XP without problem. However, the my Beta Key appears to not have automatically updated with latest downloads. When starting up my computer I receive two messages regarding registering the new revisions. The forst informs me that I only have 2 hours trial on each start up and the second informs me that because the download occurred after my key expired the new revision will only work in Demo mode.

Do I need to load a new Beta Key for full functionality of the latest downloads and if so, where can i obtain it from?

I upgraded from version 538 to the new version 539 wihtout problems
I removed the currently used SD-Card from Ebooster and deleted all content of the SD-Card
Running the automated cache configuration I get the suggestio to use my system ram with 512 of 2GB RAM what seems OK
During creation of the cache-file it already shows that it was building a cache file on drive D: (2nd partition of one physically HDD in my computer) and allocated 341 MB to Ebooster which is filled 100%
Ebooster also assigned 3788MB of the 4GB SD-Card and filled it up to 28%
Nw the Ebooster Control Panel shows me the SD-Card as device and also the harddrive D: - the icon for the harddrive has also a yellow exclamation mark on it but shows status active, 341MB but no speed.
On the menu Edit > Add new cache device the option "System Memory" is active which has also the "system-memory-icon/sd-ram-picture", hidden system memory is not activated and the location of the file is the harddrive D: with 341MB Ram.
The system cache drive slider next to the MB value shows 1811 of 2047MB total - thats looks like it uses SD-Ram memory for Ebooster.
Checking drive D: I have now a hidden Ebooster-folder and a cache file of 341MB.
I am aware that a SD-Ram cache file is stored on the harddrive of course but until now/former versions of Ebooster the "system memory" is shown in the Ebooster Control panel with the "system memory icon" and also named "System Memory". Now it is named "<partition name> Hard Disc (Active)" and has a HDD symbol (including a yellow exclamation mark).
Only on the add new cache device menu the system memory is shown witht the correct icon.
At least my Ebooster systray icon is not always jumping up and down like before when allocation system memory to Ebooster.

BTW: using WinXPsp3professional on AthlonXP3200 with 2GB SD-Ram and a IDE133-HDD

Hi, ...

Auto-Configuration show me = not the same result, ... when push the back button.

1) It detect to use a memory cache of 682 meg., and a green text = "We highly recommended you to use this device." and a CheckMark. (it show to use memory cache of 682 meg).
2) I have uncheck the check button, and press the "Next Button".
3) After i press the "Back Button".
4) Now it display red text = "We do not recommended you to use this device". (memory cache of 682 meg), but the CheckBox is unchecked.

It seem strange, that when i push the "Back Button" display the red text

Pease test at your side, ...

win7 x86, upgraded my build 538 which had been working fine, to 539. selected autoconfig, it for some reason decided to add my d: drive (sata hard disk) to the cache list. i allowed that in addition to my memory and usb drive. system crashed after rebuild, on restart would not boot.

managed to get into safe mode and remove eboostr. booted fine. reinstalled build 538, system crashed on reboot. went into safe mode, looked at d: drive, deleted the eboostr folder. rebooted OK, seems my system does NOT like having eboostr cache itself on the sata hard drive. it could be because the drive is encrypted with bestcrypt and possibly the bestcrypt driver is loaded after eboostr's??

anyhow, reupgraded to 539 and am being careful NOT to select my D: drive as a cache drive. seems OK for now...

win7 x54, pentium D, 1GB ram, 1 1gb usb mem stick, 1 4gb usb mem stick, 1 2gb sd card.

started autoconfig, it detected ram, 2 usb's & sd, tested same. speed on sd was abysmal (os says it has an unknown usb type & won't use it for readyboost), so i hit the back button, removed sd and retested. it still said it found 4 devices and crashed when it tried to test the missing sd card. rebooted without the sd, retested OK.

(1) The wizard recommended two hard drives for caching, despite saying that, by using those drives, I could get a speed increase of up to '0 times'.

(2) The wizard advised me to use a RAM cache, and perhaps (I can't remember) recommended using unallocated memory (which is a wonderful feature), but used on *allocated* memory.

(3) I received a 'cache cannot be allocated' error (or some such) when the wizard tried to do its work (= allocating one hard disc as a cache - I'd told it not to use another hard drive it had picked), two flash drives (already with a cache on them), and 1 gig system RAM.
