I had to repair MSOffice and Firefox, Thunderbird almost disappeared, som other programs ended to work so today I finnished removing the SD Card from eBoostr. Tried with and without Superfetch and Prefetch but nothing solved the problem. My system is Windows Vista 32 bit, 3 GB RAM, 1023 MB unmanaged memory and 500 MB NVCache for eBoostr. ReadyBoost and ReadyBoot disabled. I wonder if there is a limit of 4 GB cache for this card to be used with eBoostr? I have a computer with 40GB SeaGate 4200RPM 256MB DDR RAM 1.4GHz Celeron M And im running Windows 7 Ultimate RC 32-Bit. Anyways, When Im in the Control Panel, the "Build Cache Now" Button, instead of having a lovely blue to white fade effect, has random blue stutters in it, All the other buttons have the nice blue fade effect working nicely. Theres one bug The other: The jump list when my Control Panel is not pinned, closes the Control Panel. So when I drag up the icon, it will close the whole thing and minimize it to the taskbar tray... I was not paying attention when I bought the card, and shared-memory cards are iffy and usually unnecessary at best (except maybe in a laptop, that I could understand). Just an FWIW. Have found a few problems. First my info: eBoostr build 529 Time of this report: 9/2/2009, 23:12:34 Machine name: DAVID-PC Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: XFX78I System Model: XFX nForce 780i 3-Way SLI BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz (4 CPUs), ~4.0GHz Memory: 4096MB RAM Available OS Memory: 4094MB RAM Page File: 2223MB used, 1885MB available Windows Dir: C:\Windows DirectX Version: DirectX 11 DX Setup Parameters: Not found User DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent) System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent) I used DXdiag please let me know if you need more info. Problems 1st install eBoostr only allowed me to add 1 device if I tried to add USB after setting up memory USB replaced memory. Cache build only lasted a second for memory and on completion there were no files in cache content. Speed test showed no difference in speed. Control panel showed no hit ratios. Uninstalled, Reinstalled 2nd Install control panel reports eboostr service is not running. eboostr service is not listed in administrative tools -> services. Hope this helps, I would like to see how it runs on Windows 7.
