I have to say the auto configuration wizard is grat since I asked for it.
BUT the wizard recommended 4GB of hard disk with slow old access time of 9.37ms and
2GB of flash drive with much faster access time of 0.47ms
The result after 6 runs had the speed ratio varying from 0.9 to 1.3. (Av 1.08).
This is much worse than my hand-fiddled 256K of RAM (Total RAM is 1GB) and 1GB of flash drive which averaged 1.24.
Incidentally the wizard recommends the hard drive because the "random read speed can increase up to 0 times". What does this "0 times" mean and why was the hard disk recommended at all?
Maybe I should wait and see if the cache sorts itself out with more use?
I begin suspecting the random speed test as an accurate guide since the priority programs Corel Paintshop and MS Word seem to load quicker than ever???
