I use 2 x 30GB Vertex SSD's RAID 0 as my system drive c:. I know a memory cache will still be faster than my SSD's. Will a USB cache be any advantage on such a fast storage system?

Doubtful IMHO, however, it's easily tested : install eBoostr, add cache device on a USB stick and see what happens. (speed measuring tool). Then post back the results so we get to know too =)
I wouldn't be too hopeful though as the USB2.0 interface is likely to be (a lot) slower than the SATA interface to your SSD disks.
