   Although it does not seem like it, Event Viewer reports EBstrSvc as holding up the startup process

   This application took longer than usual to start up, resulting in a performance degradation in the system startup process:
   File Name : EBstrSvc.exe
   Friendly Name : eBoostr cache generator
   Version : 4.0.0.538
   Total Time : 18088ms
   Degradation Time : 13088ms

   Although in actuality, start up is much faster with eBoostr.
   Also, I set the "eBoostr cache managment [sic] service" to Automatic (Delayed Start), with no ill effects; the Control Panel continued to indicate cache hits even though the status said the service is not running.

   Anyone know if the degradation time can be improved by any chance?

   eBoostr service collects statistics about file activity. Since system boot produce a lot of file reads it can take significant time to store information about it. We will try to make additionsl investigation of service startup.

   Alright, but I definitely report better startup times with eBoostr, regardless of whether I set the service to start delayed or not. But, I do hope that eBoostr is collecting statistics to RAM and not trying to overburden the already overworked hard drive during startup.

   And don't forget about that little typo in the service description. :)
