I started getting a ton of code 50 errors with Eboostr and hidden memory enabled. I was also using a cache on an Acard RAM drive. I don't know if it's Eboostr or not. Norton Ghost 14 also acting (more) strangely than usual.

Going to try the following and see if the issue returns: Using 1GB regular RAM and 2GB on a different, mechanical hard drive. If that's ok I will then try enabling hidden memory, increasing the RAM cache as well. If that is ok, I am going to take the mechanical HD out of the equation and put the Acard RAM drive back in.

Again, just not sure right now what is causing this, if anything, and even if it is Eboostr's fault. I don't trust Norton Ghost any further than I can throw it, but Acronis tends to give me networking issues so I don't use it.

Ok, if I understand right, you trying to use a acard ram drive for as the cache, and also enabling the >4 GB setting.

So from my guess:
Your running windows 32bit
3GB of ram
Acard Ram drive

First, do you have more than 3Gb of ram? (don't include the ram drive).
This could cause errors if you dont have more than 3GB of ram install anyways. It's looking for more ram, but can't find any.

Second, the Acard Ram drive should come up as a normal drive (not ram), so just use that normaly. Don't need to turn on the >4GB setting.

Third, it could be NTG, but I have a feelings its not.

Could you include a tex file dump of the information on error 50? This can be found in the control panel -> admin tool -> event veiwer -> apps.

Answers:

1. Yes, I have 4GB installed; I was referring to the 32-bit OS limit of seeing 3-3.25GB RAM.

2. Yes, the Acard Ram Drive is seen as a "Local Disk" by the OS; I am not counting it as system RAM.

3. The latest beta of eBoostr gets along with NTG and "hidden" RAM. I am thinking you are probably correct, since removing the Acard drive as a paging file drive seems to have helped. I cleared the log file out as I was doing this to see if the error came back, so I have nothing to dump and post. Sorry.
