We test this product for you, Eboostr, having been told that we will receive free licenses. It turns out that, in order to get a license EVEN DURING THE TRIAL PERIOD, we have to restort to laborious hacks. (See various posts.) And no relevant word at all seemingly from Eboostr itself. THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS? Eboostr: SORT IT OUT.

MemberWow! Greedy much? Come on. Why should they? I mean, they were generously keeping the beta open this long as it is. All you did was test the program out. You didn't help with codding or help answer people questions, so again, why should Eboostr give us anything unless you actully put "real" time into helping them make the product. I'm a programmer my self, so seeing comments like that... just p - me off.

MemberI was also under the impression that this is what eBoostr was planning to do with version 4 (I believe I read this information on the website; it definitely wasn't a random forum post). Of course, I could have misunderstood what I read.
In any case, the current limitations on the beta are quite debilitating--after four hours, my system has its legs broken (I rely solely on eBoostr for caching). Limited beta software is perfectly reasonable except when a system is dependent upon it--it's not like I can just go on running the same boot session when the time limit is up. It's incredibly disruptive, and I'm not even sure what the point is. Why not just cut off the beta version when the final release is out? eBoostr is a product worth my money, but at this point I'm ready to uninstall completely and go back to vanilla Windows paging.

MemberI purchased eboostr already and it will not allow registration on the newest beta. I had to drop to version 3 and it registers but does not have the same function as the beta 4 I was previously using. I have sent emails to see if they can fix this problem. I am still waiting for a solution to it.

Perhaps I went over the top, in which case I am sorry. But you will appreciate my frustration. For consider the following. (1) Whilst expecting some bugs (and in fact I have experienced very few actual bugs; the product works very well on my system), I was not expecting the beta-testing to involve the large amount of hassle - license hassle - that it has. That hassle is exacerbated by (2) the great difficulty there seems to be in getting any response from Eboostr on what is going on with the license. The result of 1 (which we may call 'injury') and 2 (which we call 'insult') is that I feel taken advantage of. Finally, and for what it is worth: you can see from these boards that I am not alone in feeling like that.

The beta is not working with the purchased code. It is a problem and I would like somebody to tell me how to fix it. The purchased code worked with all previous betas from November when I purchased it and it will not work on this one.

Memberjollyn, its beta, not finlle product. They have/hold right to change linces when they want. You didn't pay anything to use the beta, so you have no right to say they're wrong. As for linces, I maybe wrong, but if you buy version 3, you get a free upgrade to version 4... beta is beta not a version it's a test program.

I'm not sure what the problem is. Art has done it before, but it could be that this version of beta has a new change in the purchased code. There are other beta version in the blog that you could use if you feel like you need to use the newer one.I know the difficulty of getting a hold of the team has been hard, but the team has been hard at work at making the program better for everything. Eboostr team is just made up of a few programmer (as far as I been told), so getting around to everyones needs and wants gets hard. I am with you. I do wish they respawn to some of the post more offten maybe even 1-2 post would make a differents, but you have to understand they are hard at work programming eboostr.

MemberI loaded build 551 and it registered automatically and I am able to use it full function no problem. I hope when the final release comes out there will be no problems. I am in a situation where I need to use my laptop more often. I got accustomed to the version 4 working better than the 3 when I registered in Nov so It was more than a little annoyance to me when the build 553 told me my license was not good any more. When you purchase you are told that all updates are good for a year. This is reflected in the about tab properly now.

To install eBoostr registered: I uninstalled the previous version and manually I deleted all the registry keys with eBoostr.
If you will see the license code it's in the text file "license.dat" >> "Documents & Sett > allusers > appldataThe beta versions work with the code purchased.
I agree with other users and I miss a feedback of the development team. I hope they're healthy! Many excellent programs have been lost when the development team disintegrates in cyberspace ....
