OK, here goes the last round of testing. Build 490 containts the following fixes:

  • Service failure with custom statistics database location (on Vista) ( # )
  • Temporary files are now correctly deleted ( # )
  • Duplicate devices listed in the Control Panel fixed ( # )
  • Occasional BSOD on Windows 2000 with USB cache devices fixed ( # )
  • Updates in Portuguese (both) and Finnish translations

Today we are announcing code-freeze so there will be no changes in the code except critical bugs fixes (which I hope will not be found.) Help file and translations will be updated before the release on January 28th.

Previous build 487 can be downloaded from here.

And the current version 490 goes here:

I still have to have a Windows Explorer screen on when I return from hibernate.
Otherwise I have to start Explorer to get it going.

I still don’t see any details about how to understand the stats in the eBoostr Cache Statistics panel. Won’t this be provided? I’d also like to see a “hit/miss count” for each file, if possible.

It seems after a while, my “Overall cache/disk hit ratio” meter goes to zero. Of course, I leave my computer on all the time and it runs daily anti-virus scans on critical parts of my system. Could this be contributing to the zero-bar? What time period doe these hit ratio bars cover?

The help file still appears rather empty.. but probably due to the beta status…. is that correct?
