Suggestions for future release

By Emile | January 20th, 2009 | 1:32 am

Hello,

1/ Allow compressed drives/folders and files

2/ Allow the user to create the eboost.dat file so that we can defrag that file and allow file placement.

Thanks in advance

If you want to defrag the eboostr.dat file use defraggler from http://www.defraggler.com . This allows you to defrag any single file.

    Hello,
I found a solution for my defrag and file placement (on the outer tracks of the HD) using my Ultimate Defrag tool.
    Thanks

Thank you, Emile. Yes we are planning to add compressed files support in the next (probably 3.1) version.

FYI – if you use flash-based media for your cache (i.e. RAM, SSD, or compact media) there’s no performance-related reason to defrag. Those mediums work equally well fragmented since there are no move parts and seek times are not reduced.
