Without eBoostr, the system would get to my desktop, but lag severely when attempting to interact with it. Although technically, one may argue that Windows has booted, I don't consider it ready because it acts super sluggish. A person who has such PC will clearly realize this tool is effective. </p> <p>Once OS is fully loaded, then SD card would become a better cache device than USB drive. Using system RAM for cache may be a bit risky (therefore a warning appears when I try to make the function available, I guess…). For those who have faster PC, I recommend to use Class 6 (or 10) HCSD as cache device, and accelerate applications by adding in the priority list. In this case, we cannot expect drastic change in the boot time because the PC does not recognize SD card until OS loads the card reader driver, unlike USB drive, which is recognized at BIOS level.</p> <p>I wonder if we can separately manage files when building cache, like; OS system files required at boot stage to USB, and other OS files and application files to SD or RAM. Initially, I was using a 2GB Kingston Data Traveler, then I changed it eDrive 2 GB (Mfr is unknown). My PC is the old machine, Dell Dimension 4600C (Yr 2003 made), OS XP SP3, RAM A-Data 1GB x 2 (original 512MB), HDD Segate ST3320820A 320GB, Ultra ATA/100 (Original Western Digital 80GB). Unfortunately, the dump file at that time is not available because I instrumentally cleaned it up when using CC cleaner. Again, so far no blue screen has not happened again but if it happens again I'll make sure to keep a dump file to make available for the eBoostr Beta team folks.
