Feedback Build 482

By zPedro | December 28th, 2008 | 10:42 pm

I installed Build 482 over previous version. It asked to reboot and after that everything is alright. It was a very clean installation. My system: Windows Vista SP1, RAM: 3071 MB, Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU     T9300  @ 2.50GHz. ReadyBoost Service is deactivated. eBoostr: System Memory: 768 MB, SD Card: 3769 MB. Windows ReadyDrive (Intel Turbo Memory) enabled, Cache 1 GB. eBoostr Power Save Mode is still disabled since I suspected it is not compatible with Asus Powe4Gear eXtreme.

I think that, from times to times, eBoostr rebuilds its cache by itself. I think it happens when certain programs are being used for the first time since eBoostr is installed. It’s happening right now. I’m enjoying eBoostr very much.

I tried eBoostr on an old desktop PC with 512 MB of RAM running Windows XP SP3 and it made wonderful improvements.

Trying a new config: eBoostr (both System Memory and removable device), plus, Windows ReadyBoost (Intel Turbo Memory – 1 GB) enabled. Of course, I’ve reactivated ReadyBoost service.
