I installed Version 3 Beta Build 482 over Version 2.0.2 Build 424.  The install was clean and I have seen an improvement.  My system is a Compaq 3.07 GHz with 2.0Gb of RAM running Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2 and I’m using a PNY 4Gb High-Speed USB 2.0 Drive for the cache.
