Build 473-Promising so far
Have downloaded the Beta, build 473. So far, the results have been good. Have a cahce set up in RAM as well as a USB (LEXAR Mecury-1GB) on Win XP Home Edition. There’ve been only two problems that I can find so far. In the Application Priority list, I’ve noticed that soem of my programs don’t show up. Primarily, the ones that I was looking for were: Mozilla Thunderbird, OpenOffice. I think Firefox showed up. Would be nice to have a browse feature (Could look for my own .EXE, .DLL files). Although these apps eventually get cached anyway, I would like to have given them soem extra priority, esp. since OOo can take so long to load (I’m running a Quad processor here!).
Second problem was speed measuring test (the one where you can select your own program). Outlook Express (default app chosen) worked just fine. Mozilla T-Bird wouldn’t even get through Phase 1. For me, this is a minor thing, being that I’m more concerned with customizing the program to suit my needs (ie, getting OOo to load a bit quicker).
I’ve also tried this app on a few VM’s though I haven’t tried in in Vista yet (plan to soon though. Still getting used to VIsta). I also intend to run thsi app on an OLD Dell laptop with a 700mHz proc, 256GB RAM, and 10GB HDD. Mostly use this for MS Streets and Trips when I’m on the job, but would like to see if maybe it will make the computer perform better.

Our applications search procedure can fail on some files (we are aware of this.) There is no need in “Browse…” button–you can drag-and-drop a shortcut or an application executable to the accelerated list.
Thanks for the Mozilla Thunderbird issue report–we will look into this.
