explorer.exe missing after 3rd standby

By comicac | December 10th, 2008 | 5:17 pm

After exciting discovery that eBoostr’s working well after hibernation, I test the stability with standby, the first time is ok, however here comes the bad news, explorer.exe is missing after the 3rd time of standby. My system is winXP, ram 2gb, using SD card of 4GB as cache of eBoostr.

Actually the explorer.exe is not disappeared, it is just not responding. I can see it with task manager, but every application trying to open explorer freezes, and finally I have to hard reboot the computer.

Did you try disabling/uninstall eboostr to see if you have the same problem without eboostr?

My system is pretty stable before the installation of eboostr, and I have installed nothing after this beta version 3 several days ago.
Today is my bad day, just now I even get a “blue screen” error after hibernation, so I decided to keep the memory.dmp in case the system becomes unstable again.
How big will be the memory.dmp if my ram is 2GB, and using 4GB SD as cache? What is the maximum file size limit of the email?

Oh…I know where is problem. The only change I have made this morning is the update of winXP, there are several updates:KB958215, KB956329, KB958372, KB957797, KB952069, KB954600, KB956802, KB955839
I think there may be some conflicts in the updates with eBoostr.

I’ve also installed those xp updates yesterday without problem, anyone else having issues?
