Anyone had the same experience?
My pc configuration:
Laptop, Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2GHz, 4 MB L2 cache, 4GB RAM, 64 bit OS, 5400 rpm hard drive, and I use a 133x speed SD card as the cache drive
I used 1024 MB system RAM plus 3072 MB of the SD card as cache drive
So far it’s worked very well with my laptop. I’ve tried different combination of cache drive and they all worked well. I guess the only comment I have so far (or more so a question I guess) is that when I’m using just ram as cache drive, the cache enabled read speed is so much faster than when I’m using both ram and SD card as cache drive, which I think it kind of make sense coz the access speed of RAM is much faster than SD card. My question is that: if I do use both at the same time, would it actually slow down the performance or would it not matter? Or should I used only RAM for best performance?

No. All cache devices work independently. Ram has higher priority. So all read requests, which can be satisfied with ram, will go to ram. Other ones can go to sd if it is used or to disk. Speed check is show just average speed.
