Build 484 – Cache Rebuilding a lot
By jdevulder | January 8th, 2009 | 6:50 am
Is it normal that the cache is being rebuilt at regular intervals? I haven’t measured it exactly but it has happend 3 times now in the last 4 hours. I’m running Vista Business witha 4GB SD Card.

Cache is updated every hour. But it should not take long because it is just for inclusion of recent entries.

I did notice that the rebuild start at 0% and that it takes about 10 minutes for a 4GB cache.

Do you mean 0% cache fill or build progress? If cache is totally rebuild every hour it is incorrect behavior. Please drop the letter to support@eboostr.com

I do mean build progress. As I’m writing the cache started rebuilding again. Currently at 94% but gong slow. I did not see this behaviour in earlier builds.

It was always here. But it will takes shorter time as statistics stabilized. It takes ~ 10 seconds for me (2gb flash + RAM).

I will keep an eye on it and report back if it still happens tomorrow or so.

Well, I kept an eye on this and the rebuilding doesn’t occur that much anymore. The cache now seems to have stabilized. So we can consider this a non issue.
