Cache Viewer Bug in V3 Build 483

By Senthil | January 2nd, 2009 | 7:18 am

Hello,

Cache Viewer shows many items as ‘Deleted Entry’.  I have given the screenshot in the below link.

Hope this gets fixed.

Thanks.

    Hello Senthil and all.
I noticed the same bug, caching for deleted entries?

I’ve also been asking what this was, I was assuming it would get cleaned up during an automatic cache rebuild or when you reboot, but it remains there in the cache viewer.

My main concern is does it affect the performance in any way at all?

This entries are files deleted from cache due to source files modification. They are supposed to be removed during cache rebuild.

Yes IIya. But even after rebuild, I can still see the Deleted entries. That seems to be a Bug.

Ok. I seems I was unable to reproduce it, since it already fixed. Please try next build.
    Thanks for your report

The issue still exists in Build 484 as well. :(

Sorry, but I am unable to reproduce it in 484.
Can you please open cache viewer, select several entries and hit del key? This will select entries for update. If you open another instance of cache viewer you will see this entries with — instead of time (same as Deleted Entry). Will this entry to be updated after cache build? Or will they remain with — sign?

Using build 484, also seeing lots of “Deleted Entry” in the cache list. Deleting them with the DEL key doesn’t seem to change anything, nor does rebuilding the cache. I’m using RAM, and a SATA-connected DDR RAM-based drive for caching. No USB or flash-based memory is being used. Using Win XP Pro 64-bit edition. 2 GB RAM installed.

Hmm… I reported too soon…… rebooting seemed to clear up the “Deleted Entry” items… maybe it was a combination of my actions… anybody else have success?
