eBoostr works well with ImDisk

I’ve made a RAM Disk (using 512 MBs) using it and then added the RAM Disk as a device for a cache to be made on.  When I look at the random read speed of it, its at 1.53-1.54 GB/s. You can find ImDisk at http://www.ltr-data.se/opencode.html#ImDisk.

Why would you do that? Isn’t eBoostr able to create cache directly from System Memory?

Well, I think its faster than having eBoostr create a cache using System Memory.

yeah making more ram disks to use with a program that use system mem already would just complicate things use the eboost cp and allocate through there

Random read speed for eBoostr system memory is around 2gb/s, so the only reason to use ramdisk is unmanaged memory (in case you have more than 4gb RAM on XP 32bit)
