Optimizing programs

What do you think it is the best way to use eBoostr to optimize execution of programs? Excluding all partitions and folders except “Programs” or “Program files”?

Exclude the file types that are not programs (*.MP3 *.AVI *.MPG etc.).

Well, there are houndreds of diferent kind of files. It’s not practible. I think I’ll let eBoostr freely choose the files it wants to cache.

Hello again. You do not need to define ALL other than exe-files.

For example here is my exclude list:

    *.mp3
    *.avi
    *.mpg
    *.flv
    *.3gp
    *.jpg
    *.zip
    *.rar
    *.dmp
    *.tiff
    *****************************””
I noticed that those files open fast enough without the cache and some consume much space from cache.

I agree with Crisse. I exclude media files (video, pictures), my own documents and whole folders of junk files (installators, backups).

    But consider this:
Applications need exe, dll, cfg, ini and other files to work. Allowing only exe files is not enough to increase speed in my opinion.

If you have more then one partition it’s a good idea to exclude all (archives, documents, music, images, movies, etc.) but the system one (usually c:/). If you have just one partition, the way is that to exclude some folders (as EvillROo says) and certain kind of files (as Crisse says).
