I have problems in XP.
Historic : previous version of Beta running OK On my Dual boot.
Vista with 380 Mb Ram in eBoostr and 1 USB For Ready boost with the registry patch.
XP with 380 Mb Ram, and 2 USB memory 4 GB (the one use in Vista and a 2nd one) .
NOW : I have upgraded first Vista to 479 all seams OK.
After I try to upgrade XP all seams running EXCEPT that there is NO cache activity visible only Disks accesses even after rebuils cache several times. So I decide to uninstall eBoostr from XP , Vista is still runnin OK. I unsinstall eBoostr from Vista , clear all registry.
And I decide to re-install eBoostr on the XP first … add the RAM, seams OF , format the 2 USB memeories, add 1 usb, rebuild cache … no activity, I try with the nd USB … same problem !!
Still NO CACHE activity on XP. The cache viewer is empty…
What’s next to do? In my opinion there is a problem with the XP integration…

The biggest problem I have is the lack of docs on what any of this means. I have no clue what Weight and Cached mean exactly – I do have some vague guesses. Hopefully, that will be resolved when the Help file is done.
Also, I noticed that you can right click and set priorities, which surprised me.
But there is some mysteriously stuff in there like “unknown/system” and “unknown/unknown”. I have no idea what they are. Both are 6% cached.

im not sure if its all that easy to do but i know of programs such as defrag programs that can be running before log on if you could somehow setup ebootr to do the same, i think it would greatly help with boot time. also i like the way you have it set so we can pick what it boosts but i think you should consider also working in a defrager into the program now thats just my thought. good luck with your program ^-^ and thanks for all the hard work

Just for the record: since I have eBoostr running on my laptop (or my laptop running on eBoostr?) , the CCleaner “Scan for issues” gives me almost every time the same result: “No issues were found”.

Ok, I’m running the new 479 build on my Vista system and it seems just fine. I downloaded another copy to run on my XP system. Installation seemed to go fine till I pulled up the main control panel to configure the cache. In the system status area I have a message that says “Driver is not loaded.” This is still present after several reboots. I am including a screen shot.

I was testing eBoostr and the four hour trial ran out so i decided to test how good it was and all i had to do was close the program in task manager and rebuild the cash on the pen drive, i know that it resets after a PC restart but with the method above that renders the registration useless. either this is supposed to happen or its a bug. A recommended way to fix would be to use the up-time variable so when the computer has been on four four hours it has to be restarted to use the software again. -Jakey5565

cache drive is 8GB SD card and 512 MB memory
when allocated size is 4GB,cache fill is 100%
when allocated size is 5GB,cache fill is 33%
when allocated size is 6GB,cache fill is 0% or 44%
when allocated size is 8GB,cache fill is 40%
why?the cache content isn’t same?is the data size variable?
what is the best file system?fat32 or ntfs or exfat?

Testing with 2GB USB. I see no difference between builds 473 and 479. The new build works well so far.
