Previously I posted about my tray icons not showing up after installing eboostr after the restart. Disregard that post it’s not a bug with eboostr it’s another Microsoft bug with WIN XP that apparently a lot of people seem to have a problem with that Microsoft has not fixed. I found a solution off the web for me that works perfectly. Simply go to My network Places and on the left pane chose to Hide UPnP devices. This operation does not disable the service (which I need).” To see this choice, you have to have Tools, Folder Options, Show Common Tasks selected.
Also as a suggestion could you put a option for people to disable or select start up with windows in the program tray icon.
Thanks!!

I have tried the first two versions and have always had some sort of issues with my system. Whether it freezes, goes ultra slow or so on. I was skeptical about being a beta tester. I have to admit that for the most part version 3 seems to be far more stable. I guess my only concern about it is security. Meaning, if for some reason it caches temp. internet files, and one of those files has your personal info on it that could be a risk. Would be nice if you could let the program know what can be cached or not.

Hi,
It is good to use eBoostr with ReadyBoost and SuperFetch together
or
running eBoostr alone ( meaning : switch OFF the ReadyBoost and SuperFetch )
which is advisable?

Yesterday i tried the eBoostr beta 3 on my laptop (c2d 2.1ghz, hyper x ram, 7200 rpm Hdd, service and os tweaked etc.
When i boot without windows readyboost i have a boot time of 35-45 sec.
With readyboost: 45-55 sec
With eboostr 3 beta: 90-130+! sec
eboostr made my boot time go nuts! and made it super SLOW!!!
I also found out when i was using my ram + sd card as cache. Only the ram was using caching.
Does any1 know who it made my boot times go to ultra slow mode?

Dear eBoostr,
I found the two entries below in my event log this morning.
They happened during my overnight defragmentation run at 1:00 AM.
I use PerfectDisk 2008. There are no other log entry warnings or errors:

Last night I turned off my computer and pull off all flash drives for cleaning (my computer). When I finished my cleaning, I plug in all my flash drives back to my computer at the exact same ports. Then, once I turned on my computer and I was entered into the window, eboostr then said that
“There are no devices found or available to be used for caching. Please Plug in your flash drive or memory card and retry”.
I did plug off and in flash drives again and eboostr is working again. Not sure that this is a bug, just want to provide you with feedback
Thank you

When I installed beta 456 and downloaded 466 beta and installed over the old beta and restarted my computer the task bar tray icon doesn’t show back up after restart. I have to manually click on the program hit exit then click on the program again and then click on minimize to the tray for it to show up. Also I think it also effects Comodo Firewall version 3.5.54375.427 because now I have to manually start this program as well. Before installing Eboostr it started automatically every time I started Windows. I’m using Win Xp pro SP3.
