i’ve got problem running the speed check: when i set a program and then start the test, this stops after few seconds.
i see also a very different speed check results made in different moments.
here are the tests made with a sandisk cruzer micro 2gb readyboost (1500 allocated)
beta 2
beta 3
i’ve noticed a better overall performances from windows boot time to various applications start time with this beta.

ASUS A4K, mobile workstation: athlon Xp 3200+, hd IDE 80 gb, 2 gb ram kingston, usb 2.0, pendrive 4 gb transcend jfv30 usb 2.0, WinXP professional, Firefox internet browser, eBoostr 3.1 with 3048 Mb cache
It works well. All my previous problems went away. The system is working well. The speed performance is good, but not very impressive, at the time. It is perceptible, but not very critical in order to buy this product, about the intensive use of the PC i do. I often use ArchiCAD, Photoshop, Coreldraw, Winamp and other apps togheter.
Anyway, maybe better to take in eboostr an advice about “cache building 100% succeded” after the process end.
eboostr 3.1 take a lesser amount of files in my cache. eboostr 2 had my 2Gb cache 100% full. eboostr 3.1 has a changing amount of files in my cahce, and it’s full about for 50%. Is it ok?
At least: what abut privacy? does eboostr save in the cache the internet cache, cookies etc? What happens when i delete my internet cache by the browser control panel?

I have updated to Beta 3.1, and was running firefox (latest version), thunderbird (again lastest version), as well as Google talk. I also have Zonealarm and Avast anti virus running in the background along with Windows defender.
I attempted to run Utorrent 1.7.5 and everything was running ok, until I started to download from this app. Then I go the blue screen of death twice. Unfortunately things got worse when the whole system shut down, almost like someone removed my battery.
Since restarting, this morning, the problem seems to have gone away, but I will try to reproduce the same situation with programs running to see if it happens again.

Goodmorning everybody,
this morning i tested eboostr beta 3 and, let me tell you, it’s very fast !!!
Here my test on:
Cpu Athlon 64 2.21 ghz
Ram 512mb (448mb real used)
Usb Pen Emprex 2Gb
600mb cache on usb pen
670mb virtual memory allocated
Previous test with eboostr beta2:
Direct access speed : 1,293881 mb/sec
Cache enabled access speed : 1,611786 mb/sec
ratio : 1,245699
Actual test with eboostr beta3 (that’s incredible):
Direct access speed : 3,338713 mb/s
Cache enabled access speed : 15,127433 mb/sec
ratio : 4,530917
I did test twice with both of eboostr to make me sure.
Hope it will improve your work guys :)

I just noticed that when I reboot my computer using a Windows Remote Desktop (RDP) connection, the eBoostr service doesn’t seem to be running correctly.
The services.msc control panel shows that the service is running correctly, but eBoostr Control Panel says that it is not. There is no problem when I just first login my computer from the actual terminal, and then connect to the RDP session.
Is this ‘normal’ or should I consider this as a bug?
Also, I was wondering if the ‘Show Cache Content’ application will be made more user friendly, such as showing the actual time in human readable text, instead of hexdecimal characters. One other thing is, would eBoostr benefit from using FAT32 on a flash device, instead of FAT? Any interest of testing this?
I am using the latest Beta 3 build, which I have downloaded using the auto-update function today.

Hello,
I was wondering how efficient eBoostr is when it comes to the limited number of writing cycles that a flash device has.
As far as I know, most flash devices have a limited number of writing cycles of about 1.000.000 times. How long should an average quality flash device (Kingston, Sandisk or Dane Elec) be able to live using eBoostr?
With regards,
Jeffrey van den Broek

Why do I have a choice to “build cache now” or not. This has probably been answered elsewhere so please forgive me if I am being redundant.

Hi! I use eBoostr with my 2 gig key though i use only 1.5 Gb of key capacity.
Everything looked ok at first but when i wanted to test speed, my pre-installed windows outlook poped up during the first scan and all later started scans. speedtest couldn’t finish it’s ratio calculating and began to continusly restart itself and each time the outlook poped up. It pops up and in a few seconds it disappears. Keep on with the good work!!!
