Optimizing programs
What do you think it is the best way to use eBoostr to optimize execution of programs? Excluding all partitions and folders except “Programs” or “Program files”?

I may be missing something here, but I expected the speed measure tool to show some impressive ratios. When I ran it on Microsoft Word 2003 I got a ratio of 0.97! With Notepad++ the ratio was better at 1.27. What sort of ratios should I be expecting?
My setup is an HP running XP Media Center Edition SP3 on a Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz with 2.00GB of RAM. I am running eBoostr v3.0 (build 484). My external memory is a 4GB SanDisk Ultra II CompactFlash Card rated at up to 15MB/s. I have allocated all 3904MB on the CompactFlash but nothing else. Should I have configured it differently or am I misunderstanding the SpeedMeasure ratio?
Hello,
Just want to ask if anyone has encountered this similar problem.
I installed the latest beta (484) and create 4GB ram on my SDHC memory card. After rebooting eBoostr worked fine but when I shutdown and rebooting again, my display change to VGA and I couldn’t change any screen resolution or colour quality. However, after uninstalled eboostr my screen resolution went back to normal.
I am not sure if this is a bug or anyone has ever found this problem.
Windows XP SP3, 2.2GHz, 1.99GB RAM.
Hello,
I am going to report the same problem as in
http://www.eboostr.com/closedbeta/feedback/app-priority-settings-ignored-v30-b483 Upgrade to v484 doesnt help at all. Still the same thing. eBoostr does not cache anything on my D:\ partition. When I transfer my priority application to C:\ it is cached - normal behaviour. I keep my favourite apps on D drive for a security and recovery purpose. Previous versions of eBoostr does not mind this scheme - worked properly. It is 3 days since I upgraded to v484. I starting to be desperate. Some caps (hope they will be availible):My Exlude list settings: E:\ F:\ R:\ Q:\ S:\ T:\ U:\ V:\ W:\ *.mp3 *.avi *.mpg *.flv My app priority settings: 1000 C:\DOWNLOAD\OLD\ADVANCED UNINSTALLER 9\UNINSTALLER.EXE 1000 D:\PERMANENT\ACTIVE KEYS\AKEYS.EXE 1000 D:\PERMANENT\MOZILLA FIREFOX\FIREFOX.EXE 1000 D:\PERMANENT\MOZILLA THUNDERBIRD\THUNDERBIRD.EXE 1000 C:\WINDOWS\EXPLORER.EXE 1000 D:\PERMANENT\MOZILLA FIREFOX\ORBITDOWNLOADER\ORBITDM.EXE 1000 D:\PERMANENT\TOTAL COMMANDER\TCPOWERPACK.EXE 1000 C:\PROGRAM\ASTON\ASTON.EXE 1000 C:\PROGRAM\COREL GRAPHICS 12\PROGRAMS\CORELDRW.EXE 1000 C:\PROGRAM\COREL GRAPHICS 12\PROGRAMS\CORELPP.EXE 1000 D:\PERMANENT\CRYSTAL PLAYER\CRYSTAL.EXE 1000 C:\PROGRAM\OO DEFRAG\OODCNT.EXE 1000 D:\PERMANENT\MYPHONEEXPLORER\MYPHONEEXPLORER.EXE 1000 C:\PROGRAM\NOTEBOOK HARDWARE CONTROL\NHC.EXE 1000 C:\PROGRAM\RAMDISK\SSCRDCPA.EXE 1000 D:\PERMANENT\WINRAR\WINRAR.EXE 1000 C:\PROGRAM\ADOBE\READER 9.0\READER\ACRORD32.EXE 1000 C:\PROGRAM\COMODO\COMODO INTERNET SECURITY\CMDAGENT.EXE 1000 C:\PROGRAM\COMODO\COMODO INTERNET SECURITY\CFP.EXE 1000 C:\PROGRAM\CURSORXP\CURSORXP.EXE 1000 C:\PROGRAM\OPENOFFICE.ORG 3\PROGRAM\SCALC.EXE 1000 C:\PROGRAM\OPENOFFICE.ORG 3\PROGRAM\SIMPRESS.EXE 1000 C:\PROGRAM\OPENOFFICE.ORG 3\PROGRAM\SOFFICE.EXE 1000 C:\PROGRAM\OPENOFFICE.ORG 3\PROGRAM\SWRITER.EXE 1000 D:\PERMANENT\MIRANDA\MIRANDA32.EXE 1000 D:\PERMANENT\ICEECC\ICE ECC.EXE 1000 D:\PERMANENT\WINAMP\WINAMP.EXE

and with eboostr is more speed
Using Avira AntiVir free version.
I had a file that was false positive for a virus with Avira AntiVirus. I am a developer and it was a file I created and know there was no virus. I ignored the alert and allowed processing to continue. I assume this would be the same with any antivirus software.
I believe, ebooster was adding the file to cache (unconfirmed). The AntiVir then would bring up another warning ever so often (even when not accessing the file). I assume when eBoostr updated the cache in with a copy of the file and it was reading the data in some way.
I exited eBoostr the number of messages virus alerts where quite a few less 4 instead of 12 (I think). Seems eBooster creates additional warnings when copying the file to the cache and accessing the new copy on the cache.
I am considering adding my eBooster drive to be excluded from AntiVirus checking. Since everything is checked anyway before being added. Does this make sense?
i think you should do the program more friendly for beginners, ’cause i think there are some problems with the final user if the program is too sophisticated.
Is it normal that the cache is being rebuilt at regular intervals? I haven’t measured it exactly but it has happend 3 times now in the last 4 hours. I’m running Vista Business witha 4GB SD Card.
