I would be nice if the eBoostr control panel displayed the date and ime of the last cache update, and the time remaining until the cache was next eligible for an update.

Since the 3 lastest versions of eBoostr Beta If have the feeling that eBoostr does not work on my system.
I use 2 4 Gbytes USB memories (OCZ and Corsair) these 2 keys flash on and off when they are accessed . Since the 3 latest verions of eBooster this do NOT happen … except when is boot my system and when I build the cash . When I look at the contents of the cache (Shoh cash content) I only see +- 40 lines of Windows folder …
I have tried with 1 USB keys , only RAM memory …same result.
When I rebuild the cash I find after this rebuild always the same Windows file.
Hom can I clean the cash?

When a USB drive is added and is being used as a cache, adding another USB drive causes the Control Panel to behave incorrectly.
Sometimes it shows the 2nd usb drive also, without being added into it. When the 2nd drive is removed, the Control Panel still shows it in there.
Pluging and Unplugging of USB Drives behavious in the Control Panel should be revisited and bugs should be fixed.

Just thought about something while playing around with eBoostr on my mobile. Currently using a HP dv9540us, 4gb ram (3027 usable since I’m just using 32-bit Vista Home Premium) with two HDD slots. Right now, it’s at stock with 2x 120gb Fujitsu MHW2120BHs.
My system disk is split into 4 partitions, 2 ntfs-vista and 2 for linux (ext3 and swap). My second disk is just formatted as one partition.
Been playing around with my SD slot, and then I decided I wanted to see how things would run if I created a cache file on my second disk. Here are the results so far:
1024 mb cache file:
1st Run:
Direct access speed: 15.046 MB/s
Cache enable access speed: 22.085 MB/s
Ratio: 1.467
2nd Run:
Direct access speed: 14.508 MB/s
Cache enable access speed: 21.857 MB/s
Ratio: 1.506
3rd Run:
Direct access speed: 15.070 MB/s
Cache enable access speed: 21.858 MB/s
Ratio: 1.450
Seems like this is a good option for those with 2 disks. Might even give better results on desktops.
I installed Version 3 Beta Build 483. The installion was uneventful and my system is running faster. I am running Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 SP3, 3.06GHz CPU and 1.0Gb of RAM. The following speed test was used with a SanDisk 8Gb Cruzer Micro USB 2.0 Flash Drive. 4095 Mb Allocated with 64% of the cache full. The random access speed was 5134KB/s, Direct Access Speed-8.179702, Cache Enabled Access Speed-14.298732. The ration was 1.748075.
I know that eboostr can’t possible imitate superfetch but maybe the team can add a new option like a memory limit. i’ll give you an example if the memory reaches less than 50 or 100 mb (user defined setting) automatically disable the memory cache and when the memory is freed up automatically enable the system memory
I have a Fujitsu MHW2120BH (4 Partitions, 2 NTFS-vista, 1 ext3, 1 linux swap) on my rig right now, using EB 3.0 build 482 with a Transcend Class 6 4gb SDHC (all of it for EB). My speed reports are as follows:
Direct access speed: 11.199 MB/s
Cache enable access speed: 7.012 MB/s
Ratio: 0.626
Does this mean I’m actually running slower when using the EB cache?
Hi, I’ve been using this program for a while now, and is happy with the noticeable speed increase, especially in gaming (though I’ve stopped on my old pc). Recently started the beta test, but didn’t really notice much of a difference. At least I can use it for more than 4 hours :). Anyways, my question is, does the Eboostr Control Panel need to be started at startup with no delay for it to be able to speed up my startup speed, or is the Eboostr Service sufficient? You see, I have many programs at startup, they’re all useful in one way or another for me, and I’ve delayed lots of them using Startup Delayer, including the Eboostr Control Panel, which I’ve stalled for 45 seconds. Any reply will be appreciated.
