OK, here it goes. A new build 482 with some new optimization to handle boot and reduce its time.
What’s new?
- RAM cache special boot handling (please note, only RAM, all other types of cache devices operate as usual);
- Cache build process optimizes RAM cache to handle boot (you can see a new “process” in the statistics viewer–“unknown/boot”);
- Several minor bug fixes.
That’s the final round of testing and we are planning to go out with this version after the holidays in the terms of functionality (yes, still a bunch of work with the help file, manual and translations.)

Whenever I tried to ‘Check Speed’, it occurs Error like above. (always same message)
And with this message ‘eBoostrCP.exe’ process die.
But ‘EBstrSvc.exe’ service is still running.
So if I start eBoostr Control Panel manually, it still shows exact remaining time for demo user.
I also got the dump file ‘eBoostrCP_000.dmp’.(it is about 45MB)
But I have no idea how can I send this file to you.

And I tried ‘eBoostr SpeedMeasure Tool’ on ‘start’ menu in windows manually.
Affter all the test this error message showed up and didn’t showed me the result.
For the ‘eBoostr SpeedMeasure Tool’, I choose ‘FreeMind’ to run 5 times test.
(language is in Korean, but it is common error message, which asking me to send error report to MS or not)

Been using eBoostr b479 for a day now. My mobile is set to go into standby mode after an hour of inactivity. Left it running last night, with just the usual applications I leave up (Firefox, Acrobat, Y!M). I was surprised to see my machine still on (with the display off) when I woke up this morning. The main difference between my usual set-up is that I had the eBoostr control center minimized to the taskbar this time. I’m thinking that it may have been keeping my configuration from going into standby mode. Is this typically the case?

I just wanted to throw out a few suggestions:
1) I have two computers that use eBoostr, and I have a thumb drive that I use on both computers. I only want my home computer to use the eBoostr cache file on the thumb drive, and not my work computer. When I plug in the thumb drive to my work computer, it’ll consider it as an eBoostr device and then rebuild the cache on it, and then do it again once I get back home. It would be nice if it were able to recognize computers and choose whether or not to use it as an eBoostr device.
2) On a side note, is there any chance the cache on the eBoostr on the device can be updated on-the-fly rather than completely rebuild it as it is doing right now?
3) Lastly, it would be nice to be able to see the cache file rather than hide it. There were a few occasions where I need to clear storage space on my thumb drive, and not being able to since I can’t just delete the cache file. Vista’s Readyboost allows me to delete the cache file if needed.
Thanks for reading, love this program!

I just removed my usb hub and noticed that one of my drives was not removed properly. I am unable to remove
it from the list of drives but it was recognized in the new usb port. could you introduce; forced removal of drives
and possibly some pnp polling feature to automatically remove drives from the list when they are removed
from the computer?
thx ahead again.

MB:ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus
CPU:Q6600 @ 2.4Ghz
SND:Soundmax Integrated Digital HD Audio
VID:Nvidia Geforce XFX 280 GTX XXX
WIN:Vista Home Premium x64 SP1
RAM:8GB DDR2 800mhz SLI Ready (4X2GB)
52GB Eboostr 3.0.0.479: Dane Elec 4GB, Ultra Speed 8GB, Centrios 8GB-200X, Retail Plus 32GB
Smooth sailing with this settup. I did have a problem with the new nvidia drivers but all seems good now.
was wondering if the cache is setup as a stripe-raid to increase access times. yes as already posted
also would like to know if Eboostr could use the speed of the device to prioritize allocation. ie my Dane Elec 4GB
fills to 100% before my 8GB drives fill to 40% but my 4GB drive is the slowest drive.
Thx ahead of time.

I want to suggest that, is it possible to resize the cache drive instead of remove the drive and build again?
I think it is more convinence for us to control the cache size. Thanks.
Also, is it possible to build different levels of cache drive, it means that the cache drive can have different priority level.
i.e. if the contents are always read, then to cache it on the high priority cache drive(high speed).
Sorry to my poor English. Thanks
It is a great product to increase the performance of my computer .

I frequently hibernate or standby my computer when I leave my seat during office hour.
With this build 479, sometimes it freezes just before windows logon shows up. So the screen is black, but the power bulb is on, I need to press the power button to “force” shut down, and then everything is ok after restart.
And today I test it with cache disabled, the “freeze” disappeared.
My system is winXP, 2GB ram, cache as 256MB system ram and 4GB SD card.

I would like to see a graphical representation of cache content, in a block format.
In Example, the program WinDirStat:
Please read more about how it functions at:
