Ability to schedule cache rebuild

By Doug | January 27th, 2009 | 5:16 pm

I’m assuming that it is beneficial to rebuild the cache periodically.  If my understanding is correct, it would be nice to have a scheduler so we could schedule the cache rebuild for a “down” time.

Thanks.

I never notice when my eBoostr goes on cache build… But in theory, wouldn’t two parallel cache builds (for example, RAM and Flash Drive) increase lag because they are both waiting for the same hard drive device?

The inner workings of the program are still a bit opaque to me, and I’m trying to figure it out.

    Here’s one link: http://dotnet.agilekiwi.com/blog/2008/10/how-eboostr-works.html

Based on this, perhaps there’s no need to direct a cache rebuild, because eBoostr does it automatically?

The documentation is fairly empty regarding eBoostr… I always thought it rebuilt hourly… But, given the lack of documentation, I’m definitely satisfied with the program itself.
