BSOD with 490

By merle1 | January 30th, 2009 | 4:05 am

:-((( Just had a crash (BSOD) on my XP Pro last evening with build 490 running.  I’ll upload the dump asap.  It happened right when I asked (politely) TrueCrypt 6.1a to unmount 2 volumes, one being on a USB key, the other one on an USB HDD.  I tried to use whocrashed from Replendence Software, but all I got was that there was no dump, yet there is one !

I had another BSOD, but this time after a new install of previous build, and when eboostr was no active (I had just installed the 487build and not rebooted yet). So it may come from truecrypt or something else. I’ll post a comment if I find something.

After reinstalling TrueCrypt, and build 487 (which seems to make my PC more responsive), there is no longer a crash when dismounting TC volumes.

OK, thanks for an update. Anyway our developers will check your dumps just in case.

I think the problem may have been caused by a conflict between TrueCrypt and Cryptainer, that I was using before truecrypt and which I tried to reactivate. Hopefully the dump analysis will confirm this.
