Cache Fill Up Issue

By Senthil | January 18th, 2009 | 1:51 pm

Hello,

When I was using eboostr V2 in Trial Mode, My USB Drive was filled up 100%.  I had a list of Exclude List files.

Now in V3 , in all builds so far, I have only 40% of my USB Drive filled up, with the same list of Exclude List Files.  Is there a issue with the V3 on this ?  Might be a bug somewhere.  Please check.

Thanks.

Same for me, never more than 4GB over a 8GB USB stick or 16GB SD

V2 would fill whatever you gave it. V3 is ‘inteligent’. If you started to use apps that haven’t been used for a while then they’d be cached otherwise not. I use very little of what I have spending most of my time developing – a 1½GB cache does me.

But I do see that from the Cache Content, it has cached many applications that I have never used before. !!!

Sorry I don’t understand: frequently used apps doesnt get cached and rarely used get cached? Does not make sense to me…
Anyway I use massively my Vista, I’m sure it could cache much and much more but it doesnt.
When I switch from IE to Firefox (both with 20-40 open tabs) I can see hdd trashing and low eboostr cache usage. that was not happening with V2 under XP.

Hmmm. I found a few myself, Senthill, but only a few and one of them only comes out in a blue moon!

Please try 487 build, it should fix this issue.

    Here is an announcement:
    http://www.eboostr.com/closedbeta/feedback/build-487/
There was a small bug fixed that may be the problem of this issue.

Doesnt resolve for me, still can’t go above 19% of my 16GB cache on SD. Tried integrity check of 9GB of Steam games.

Today it works! Sorry I was wrong, checked too early, now filled up to 84% of 16Gb. Thank you!
