check for updates does nothing

When I select : check for updates, nothing happens, and the control panel becomes unresponsive. Using the RC candidate.

    Can you please check your firewall settings?

    Thanks for the tip I recieved via email, I gave eboostr full permission in my firewall, and the update feature works great now.

    Also got no automatic updating. Looking for my firewall settings didn`t find a block.
    Starting the controlpanel from within its installation-map: my firewall asked for permission
    to connect to eboostr-home.
    By the way, just for the record, I`ve got the feeling wake-up after making my laptop sleep works
    faster too with eboostr activated.
