Eboostr instead MS Virtual Memory

By antimodes | September 28th, 2007 | 12:42 pm

hello everybody,

my last post was very useless and i tell everybody my excuses. This time i will try to do something better.

I allocate a 256mb of cache on my 2gb pen. The file was allocated but, even if i open a tons of program, pen’s led does not blink, so the o.s./eboostr does not use it. Ok.

I saw that there was allocated by Windows virtual memory al least 670Mb. Then I set it to OFF and restart the PC.

When it restarted, of course, a ballon tip suggests me to increase virtual memory. One more time no pen’s led does not blink.

I set virtual memory to 100/200/400/800 but nothing was different.

I try to use another usb pen with the same cache file but it did not work at all.

Now the magic questions is:

Is there any way to use Eboostr  instead stupid MS virtual memory?

A readyboost usb device can change something ?

I mean, as you can see over, i try different way to use an external usb pen but without any success, i think.

Operating system is Windows XP Home with SP2

Thank you to everybody

Virtual memory should not affect eBoostr. Let’s try to understand why you do not get any results.

    1. Do you have hand under drive icon in eBoostr Control Panel? If not, cache is allocated but not attached yet.
    2. Do you have any files stored in cache file? (Use edit/show cache content menu item to check it)
    3. Please tell as is there any grayed out items in edit menu.

I hope we will find the issue together
