So far, so good

I downloaded and installed with no problem.  It easily found my flash drive, and prompted me to create cache, etc.  First impression is: my PC is noticeably faster.  I used a 512 mb flash drive – I assume I could change to a larger one if I want, and this will result in even better performance?

Anyhow, so far I’m quite pleased.

First of all pay attention to the read speed of a flash memory. For better results it should be fast. Modern USB Drives can have up to 32 MB/s speed.

I should also add that for eBoostr (as well as ReadyBoost) the random access read speed is critical. You can have a great overall speed index, but the random access can be lower. Unfortunately manufacturers usually do not publish this information.

Basically those flash drives that have an “Enhanced for ReadyBoost” certification will perform with the eBoostr better.
