RC 1 is working great!
I upgraded from beta 4 and now it is even faster
I’m running this new RC build 378 release. I’m very happy i have to say it’s very fast. By my first contact it seems to be more efficient than the beta 4.
Moreover, when i uninstalled the beta 4 release and didn’t install the RC 377 because of its reboot problems, i had for a day my pc without any eboostr running. I must confess that i did forget the real speed of my pc without eboostr. It was very very very slow!!! The system boot was very slow, and the applications startup was unbearably slow.
Now the RC build 378 is running with no problems and everything in the system seems to be very faster, much faster than the previous beta 4. Soon i’ll send my new speed tests. I hope them to be impressive. Good work, let’s go on with it! :-)
I notice that when I start up, eBoosr gives me a new release notification. When I download and install the new release, it opens with a message that I already have the latest version.
Should I install anyhow? And how can I get it to stop showing the notice on startup?
PS I did get a Vista-Boost ready flash drive and you’re right, it does run faster – though eBoostr worked pretty well even with a non-Vista ready flash.
When I select : check for updates, nothing happens, and the control panel becomes unresponsive. Using the RC candidate.

I install the RC release. After the system reboot nothing appens. I have a black screen, the Win Xp doesn’t start itself. I have to uninstall the eboostr after starting the system in safe mode. Without eboostr the system starts itself correctly and without any problem. I tried this installation two times, and everything went in the same way. Now I have any eboostr installed.
My pc and apps are the same since i started the eboostr beta testing.
Please help me!

I installed the build 378 and now everything is ok. I’m proceeding with the system speed testing. Thanks to Andrew Zarudnev!
After I downloaded the installer for RC, I upgraded from beta4 and rebooted the computer. After the reboot ebooster loaded fine but I checked the menu bar options to ensure they worked correctly. When I clicked the “Check for updates…” button under “Help”, the application errored and closed out. I started ebooster again and clicked it again with no application error. Here is what was logged in the windows App. Log:

Could someone provide me the beta4 installer so I can try and replicate the app error?
I’m wondering how it could be, the results are:
I’ve got a warning: Low Speed! 1812kb/s Random Read (the drive itself is slow), but when i tested speed in “about” I’ve got
Direct Access: 8.8Mb/s
Cache enabled: 16.2Mb/s
and Ratio from results above is 1.83.
Does it mean that even slow flash drives can give 2x performance boost?
I have most recent version RC 378 installed but I continually get a notice saying new RC available do I wish to install. I click no but keeps telling me new version available.
OK, so I reinstalled the application and everything appears to be working now, no more update notifications.
I report an incredible slow down of the system boot after installing RC version, no matter with the previous versions
