Thanks for My Free License for Release 3.0

By Ed | February 2nd, 2009 |

It’s been fun beta testing eboostr. Thanks again for the free license! This program is super and should make millions of computer users happy!! I recommend this product especially if you don’t have a dual core computer. You just won’t regret getting 3x the speed to most of your programs! Have fun in hyperdrive!

v491 : Help file still incomplete

By deroby | |

After upgrading to build 491 I’m noticing the help is “more” complete than before, but there remain quite a bit of links that result in a “This page cannot be displayed” error.

Eg : Getting started

Eg: RAM Cache

etc…

I’m not sure if this is because I upgraded, or if it is because the setup-files are ‘incomplete’. I’ll leave the situation as is for the time being and can send you the .chm files (or anything else) if you’d want.

Otherwise, the upgrade went flawless… nice job on that front too btw, having had to write quite a few of deployment installers myself I know it can be a PITA at times =)

Thank you and ready for next Beta testing

Thanks! Excellent support and great software! I found the feedback from the developers and the beta testers very useful. Is it possible for you to set up a non-beta user forum?

Thank you =)

Thank you very much for the license. This is a great software and I’m so happy because I’ll use it for a long time.

Best wishes!

Using the extra RAM

By zPedro | January 31st, 2009 |

I hope one day you can achieve the way to able eBoostr to use “the extra RAM beyond the 3.25GB limit on a 4GB or 8GB Windows XP/Vista 32 bit system”, as we can read in eBoostr help (hope too it will be completed very soon!). Meanwhile, with RamDisk Plus I’m using  a 720 MB RamDisk that has 2.068.755 KB/s random read speed (plus a 496 MB Intel Turbo Memory used by eBoostr – 32.137 KB/s). The results are fantastic and I keep all 3 GB of my system RAM.

I want to thank you very much, eBoostr Creators, this great opportunity to be an eBoostr tester and, of course, the license you kindly gave to me.

Looking forward for the futher development.

I’m just curious what is the roadmap for the future versions? And when shoud we expect next version Beta testing?

P.S. On January, 29 There already were cracked versions of Eboostr. :-(.
It’s not good, but it shows that the programm is very usefull and popular.

eBoostr and Defrag: Terrifying Issue

By Eklok88 | |

I am a Beta tester from Italy (so, soory for my written errors)

I use eBoostr 3 Beta b.490 with a 4 gb Sd hc card on my Vista home premium Pc.

Last week I defragged my Hd system partiton (C:) and data (D:) with a Pirisoft tool called DEFRAGGLER (very good & fast), after I restarted my Pc windows had many errors and issues ( I couldn’t open any program, services couldn’t load, no restore point because of error 0x81000202, my Pc was totally locked and even the safe mode couldn’t do much).

Fixed: I Noticed that many of the problems were regarding the eBoostr accelerated programs and windows services so i thought maybe the OS copied part of those files in the Sd card and they loaded with eBoostr, BUT i defragged C: and D: not H: (the sd card) so those files were moved in the System C: due to the defrag process and maybe lost corresponding links and position in the H: sd card.

I turned off the pc, removed the sd card, restarted without the sd, everything was OK!
Finally I just inserted the sd, cleared it and made a new Cache process in eBoostr… :D
It’s fine now, but i’ll always remove te sd and turn off eBoostr while defragging.

Ciao, Marco.
