Observed on my practicular box twice – When resuming from suspend mode, the SD card used for eBoostr cache is constantly accessed (the access light was on), and the computer freezed. Upon removing the SD card, the computer became responsive again, and inserting back the SD card afterwards is also okay.
Is using the latest build (471) as of today.
This could be a problem of my particular setup through (it’s a XP box, BTW). So I want to know, have any of you seen this problem? Do you have any problem coming back from suspend?
Cheers and nice weekend! : )

I use eboostr beta with windows vista 32 and trying to allocate about 8 gb of cache in my new ultra fast flash memory it was not possible because no more of 4 gb is suggested to use by a pop up in eboostr, is it by default? I have got 3 gb of ram and use 2 gb of flash as ready boost cache.

Hi, …
Slow boot, after installing eBoostr 3.0, Beta build 471.
Windows XP SP3 x86, French Canada, 4 gig ram.
I have made a 1 gig cache (inside eBoostr) in memory.
When eBoostr is installed, and after each reboot = then i see the windows startup logo progressbar, it make about 30 times, the left to right progress bar.
= it mean about 30 seconds to enter in windows, after the boot logo. (when eBoostr is running)
Before install or after deinstall, eBoostr made about 7 times , the left to right progress bar.
= it mean about 7 seconds to enter in windows, after the boot logo. (when eBoostr is not running)
————————————————————————————-
Also, for the moment only 6% of the cache is full, [inside a eBoostr, 1024 meg Ram Cache]. = (even if i rebuild the cache, it dont go to full 100%) = Is this normal ???
————————————————————————————-
Also, what is the “eBoostr energy saver option” do when enabled ? Does it is related to save Laptop battery when i create and use, a cache disk inside eBoostr?

it would be nice to have a refresh button in the statistics window. it would also be good to have some way of showing which files are cached for each app. eboostr shows a percentage but i do not know what files are cached. geeks could find it usefull.

Running WIndows Server 2008.
Initially i had three cache devices, one of them indicated that the random speed was too slow and i decided to remove it form the control panel. That device icon happened to be the second icon of the three devices icon, and after removing it there was an empty space left between the two remaining icons which were in the first and second place in the control panel. Shouldnt the third icon moved back to the second icon space?

Hello.
Vista32bit
A management domain makes RAMDISK forth.
I appoint cash in eBooster.
Cash becomes invalid when I reboot.
Thank you.

Hello-
In my application priority, i have cached ms office (word, power point, excel);
The thing is that when i see the statistics and check winword.exe;
there’s irrelevant mp3 files (which does not even exist anymore) with cached ‘1’ option on;
Shouldn’t there be some sort of presets to boost common program such as ‘office, explorer’ etc?
Thanks;

I have not encountered any real problems with the beta except user error (I forgot that one of my thumb drives was one of the divices on my ebooster list and I was trying to save to the drive) because of that I thought that maybe you could add a little popup reminder from the program telling you that you are trying to save to a device that is being used for your cache.

If I open the eboostr cache viewer, and sort by column ‘size’. I see that it has apparently also cached very large files.
The largest file it cached was a crysis warhead .pak file of 800mb, a bit of a waste on my 4gb usb stick. Now I can of course exclude .pak files in version 3 now, but i still see several other very large files.
As far as I understood it’s main purpose is to cache a lot of small files because of the increase in speed in random access time from the usb device, versus streaming performance from the hard disk.
I’m using 3.0 469

i have been using Sandisk 4gb (ready boost) drives and my read/write speed seem to be good. i use 3 of them and the slowest random speed of the drive is 26961 KB/s to the fasteast is 27795 KB/s. I found a utillity that will partition a usb drive. how well eBoostr would work with just one drive(i.e 8gb or 16gb) partitioned into 2 or 4gb section?
